We are very proud to state that the Faculty of Education is the largest Faculty of the St.Augustine University of Tanzania. The Faculty comprises the Departments of Educational Foundations, Geography, History and Languages (English and Kiswahili).The Faculty offers a three-year education programme catering a wide range of courses leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts with Education (B.A. Education). Recently, we have started offering Master of Arts in History in two frameworks; by full time coursework basis with the duration of 18 months and M.A. (History) by thesis lasting for 24 months. The Master of Arts in history consists of four specializations namely;

Teaching
Cultural, Heritage, Conservation and Tourism
Diplomatic, Government and Administrative History
Historical Sources, Local Histories, Documentation, Archives and Record Management

Knowing the naked fact that the teaching profession is lifeblood of our society and that tomorrow’s teachers must not be plenty enough but competent enough, we are, therefore, committed in providing high quality programmes and favourable environment for the solid formation of our future teachers.
