Entry requirements for Master of Arts in Mass Communications(MAMC):
- Holders of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications (BAM) or Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism (BAJ) with at least upper second-degree pass from any institution of higher learning recognized by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
- Holders of Advanced Diploma in Journalism from SAUT or the former TSJ with a GPA of not less than 3.5, or a Post Graduate Diploma in any area of study.
- Non-journalism graduates with demonstrated proficiency and/or experience in journalism fields, with at least upper second Bachelor’s degree in their field of specialization. Candidates in this category would, however, be required to take skill-oriented courses from the undergraduate programme. This shall be done in consultation with the Head of Department(s).
- Prospective candidates are required to have an adequate English Language proficiency that shall be tested through an appropriate Matriculation.
