Entry requirements for Master of Arts in Mass Communications(MAMC):
  1. Holders of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications (BAM) or Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism (BAJ) with at least upper second-degree pass from any institution of higher learning recognized by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
  2. Holders of Advanced Diploma in Journalism from SAUT or the former TSJ with a GPA of not less than 3.5, or a Post Graduate Diploma in any area of study.
  3. Non-journalism graduates with demonstrated proficiency and/or experience in journalism fields, with at least upper second Bachelor’s degree in their field of specialization. Candidates in this category would, however, be required to take skill-oriented courses from the undergraduate programme. This shall be done in consultation with the Head of Department(s).
  4. Prospective candidates are required to have an adequate English Language proficiency that shall be tested through an appropriate Matriculation.
