Admission Requirements
Minimum Entry Qualifications:

i. Holder of the MA/MSc in Economics degree with at least Lower Second Class from St. Augustine university of Tanzania or any other recogniseduniversity by TCU.

ii. Holder of Master Degree with three or more than three years of working experience as an added advantage.

iii. Relevant Master's Degree in bussiness and management such as finance, accounting, tourism management, procurement, human resourses management etc or a cognate subject area with GPA of not less than 3.0 from recognised university (or overseas equivalent).


Additional Requirements

i. Good proficiency in English

ii. A research concept paper (4000 to 6000 words).(Send the concept note through: postgraduatestudies@saut.ac.tz)

iii. Preference will be given to candidates with prior research and/or teaching/consultancy experience and who has done some publication.

iv. A personal interview to assess the maturity of the applicant's career aspirations and the aptness for completing the doctoral degree.

NOTE: Candidates holding first class or upper second class bachelor's degrees in Economics including those with unclassified degrees from recognised university may be considered for an admission after registering for master degree and taking at least one full yaer's postgraduate tarining and demonstrating an outstanding parformance to the satisfaction of the instituion.
